Membership Categories & Requirements
All memberships are renewed annually and follow the calendar year schedule.
FULL MEMBERSHIP: Open to individuals who possess an earned graduate degree in the Physical or Biological Sciences, Computer Sciences, Mathematical Sciences or Engineering, and who are employed in professional, research, or academic activity related to the applications of Physics in medicine.
ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP: Open to individuals who are interested in the application of Physics to medicine but who do not meet the requirements of any other membership class.
STUDENT MEMBERSHIP: Open to any individual who is enrolled in a degree program in the Physical or Biological Sciences, Computer Sciences, Mathematical Sciences or Engineering, at an accredited college or university who has an interest in applications of Physics in medicine and who is not otherwise employed in the applications of Physics in medicine.
HONORARY MEMBERSHIP: Open to individuals whose contributions to the field of Medical Physics identify them as worthy of membership in the association. Such an individual should receive an affirmative vote of the quorum of the board of directors.
EMERITUS MEMBERSHIP: Open to individuals who have completed a career in Medical Physics and shall be retired from the field of Medical Physics.
INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP: Open to individuals who reside outside of Jamaica, who meet the degree or other requirements of any other membership class.
